Event description

Description

On Sunday June 17th a specially formed community choir - the Soul Celebration Comunity Choir - will join with Black Voices, the Town Hall Gospel Choir and the Veritas Orchestra to perform the late Steve Gray's reinterpretation of Handel's Messiah, itself inspired by the 1992 album Handel's Messiah: A Soulful Celebration. These performances (5pm and 8pm) will take place at the Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford-on-Avon. The chorusmaster for this project is award-winning gospel choir director Colin Anderson, and the music director is Mike Daniels (MD for both the Cantamus Chamber Choir and the Gorgeous Big Horns Big Band).

To launch the Soul Celebration Community Choir, Colin will be leading an open one-day community choir taster workshop for those who like to sing who are thinking about being involved with this project.
