About this event

Make Share Heal is a 12-month wellbeing programme offering monthly creative and therapeutic workshops for women aged 18 to 49 in Pype Hayes, Birmingham. Each session combines art, movement, music, mindfulness, and therapeutic practices to create a safe and welcoming environment where women can slow down, connect, and focus on their wellbeing.

Sound and Stillness invites participants on a sensory journey into healing through music and mindfulness. Guided by experienced facilitators, women will explore the soothing effects of gentle sound therapy using instruments such as singing bowls and other calming sounds. Simple breathing exercises will be introduced to help reduce stress and create a sense of emotional balance and inner calm.

The session offers a chance to pause, listen, and reconnect with yourself in a nurturing, supportive space designed to encourage relaxation and wellbeing. No experience is required, and all materials are provided.

Alongside the main workshop activities, participants will have access to optional one-to-one holistic support and information on local services including housing, employment, mental health care, childcare, and community resources. Multilingual support will also be available to ensure everyone feels welcome and included.

Refreshments will be provided, with something special prepared each month to make the sessions feel warm and inviting.

The programme is facilitated by Monika Lenard, an experienced women’s workshop leader with over 20 years of practice in creating safe, trauma-informed spaces for personal growth and community connection. Monika’s approach combines circle dances, breathing techniques, traditional folk music, and creative arts, offering an inclusive and supportive experience rooted in both cultural heritage and holistic wellbeing.

Make Share Heal warmly welcomes women from Ukraine, Poland, and Central and Eastern Europe, as well as local women facing similar challenges. The project aims to support mental health, confidence, and belonging while reducing isolation through creativity and connection.

The workshop is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided. Places are limited to 20 women, so booking is essential to secure your spot.
