Celeste, Kate and Kim welcome you to the Sounds Peachey Sound Bath and Singing experience!
What to expect:
We start with a simple, interactive meditation or warm up, which aims to guide your understanding on how resonance works within your own body. We move on to a variety of sacred instruments, including crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, voice, rattle and wind gong. The sounds induce a harmonious state within your being.
Weather permitting, we will take our chanting into the beautiful walled garden, where we stand or dance barefoot in the grass, and play percussive instruments as we sing. Our chants are simple, mainly Native American in style, calling to the Great Spirit, Mother Earth, and our own inner beauty.
What to bring:
We offer chairs to sit on, but if you prefer to lie on the carpeted floor, please bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket for your comfort.
Where to go:
The Lecture Room is inside the museum, and can be accessed through the main museum entrance until 4pm, or a side gate to the left of the museum as you face the front door. Please wait in the foyer until we have prepared the room for you. The site has ramps and accessible toilets. The nearest car park is Waitrose, which is chargeable, and is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the venue. We start punctually.
Want to learn more?
If you are fascinated by the instruments, as many of us are, please talk to us at the end. We are happy to answer questions and guide you to use the instruments with our supervision.
