Serotina Sound Session
Discover the power of switching off your mind, reconnecting to your body and feeling calmer about your everyday life.
This is a beautiful way to relax and replenish yourself and our classes are a wonderful opportunity to leave the pressures of your day behind and switch off for a while, especially if you find it hard to meditate or relax on your own.
What to expect:
We start the classes with a short body awareness session, using gentle motion and movement designed to help you get out of your head, calm the mind and prepare you for the sound session.
During the sound session, you will be invited to lie on the floor with nothing to do but listen to the sound of the Himalayan bowls & bells.
The frequencies and vibrations of the bowls will relax you and help still your mind, and you may even find yourself drift off to sleep during the session (snoring is very much allowed so don't worry if you are concerned you'll disturb others - you really won't!).
If you prefer to sit in a chair, we have chairs available.
Once we finish, we don't recommend rushing off to do lots of errands or go out all-night clubbing. You may find yourself energised, but, for most people, you'll probably be ready for bed after you leave.
Who is the session suitable for:
The session is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those with more experience; we welcome you wherever you are in your journey with sound.
The sessions are not normally suitable for people with seizures, epilepsy, heart conditions or early stages of pregnancy but get in touch with us before you book and we can address any concerns on an individual basis.
What to wear:
Wear loose, comfortable clothing; leggings, joggers or even pyjamas if you like.
We also recommend removing chunky necklaces or bracelets, Apple watches, or other Bluetooth tracking devices.
What to bring with you:
Bring a yoga mat, blanket, socks, cushions, or pillows. We want you to be warm and cosy, so bring as much as you want to be comfortable lying on the floor.
We have a couple of spare mats so if you don't have one, please get in touch.
If you prefer to sit on a chair, we have chairs available, and we still recommend a blanket, socks and cushion for your back and feet so that you stay warm and cosy during the session.
Cancellation Notice: All classes can be cancelled and fully refunded 24 hours before the class time. If you aren’t able to attend within 24 hours of the class, get in touch with us and, although we can’t guarantee this, we may be able to transfer your booking to a future class.
Please Note: We have a strict no-latecomers policy to avoid disturbing others once we have begun. If you arrive after we have begun, we unfortunately can't let you into the room.
