Event description

Description

When you come to a sound bath session, I begin by talking people through the process, leading a guided breathing, meditation and intention setting process. Then, I invite people to lie down, close their eyes, focus on their breath and intention and bathe in the unique sounds of these instruments. I usually start by playing the gong, which lasts for around 20 minutes. The gong has a deep, hypnotic tone which rumbles throughout the room. It's incredibly powerful, and you can feel the vibrations travel through the floor beneath you. Listening to these lower, powerful tones can send the mind into a deep trance like, meditative state - where you have an easier ability to access your subconscious thought forms. Accessing these thought forms can be key to how you achieve and align with your intentions, and your subconscious mind plays a key part in how you see the world, and the way you achieve your life.

As the gong creates this deeper faculty for experience, it can create quite an intense journey for the participant. Every sound bath you have will be unique as it depends on the current thoughts you have processing in your subconscious mind at that time.

After playing the gong for this time, I like to transition into the crystal singing bowls as they have a much lighter, angelic tone to them. I usually play around 8-11 crystal singing bowls in each session, which cover a full scale of notes. Listening to these notes isolated in each singing bowl allows you to really connect with the purity of each instrument. Each note can resonate differently within the body, and send a soothing feeling and vibration that travels through you. This can create a very uplifting feeling for the person experiencing these sounds, especially when each instrument flows harmonically from one to the next. I like to play the crystal singing bowls for a further 15-20 minutes, to allow the people to take their time to adjust into this higher state and these unique sounds.

I then close the session with a koshi chime, which has a more vibrant tone. I play this instrument to gently re-awaken people into the space, and transition them to wake back up, and ground themselves back into the room after lying still for such a long time.
