The session will begin with an introduction to the theory of Synaesthesia including a quick introduction to the work of 20th Century artists.
You will be introduced to drawing and mark making techniques usingYou will be introduced to drawing and mark making techniques using paint, brushes and pens, interpreting sound as colour and form.
The creative artwork process begins by collectively listening to clips of acoustic instruments and site specific recordings, from in and around the natural landscape.
You will create an art piece through the development of initial sketches of your own unique experience of drawing sound, which will be developed into your own sound painting on canvas to take away with you.

The workshop will be held in the Main Gallery at FIsherton Mill, Salisbury, within the "Echoes and Threads" exhibition by Tamsin Loveday and Helen Kirby. Exhibition runs between 20th April and 18th May 10-5
