Join us for a relaxed afternoon of music, memories and good company at the Hibiscus Caribbean Elderly Association.

This event is part of Sound Waves: Music in Newham, a project by Rendezvous Projects CIC to celebrate and preserve 60 years of the borough’s rich musical heritage.

We’re inviting local people with memories of Newham’s music scene from the 1960s to today – whether that’s youth clubs, gigs, concerts, house parties or nights out in the borough’s clubs.

At this event you can:

• Bring along photos, flyers or keepsakes from music events in Newham
• Share your stories to help build the Sound Waves archive
• Hear updates on what the project has uncovered so far, ahead of our exhibitions, publication and website launch in November
• Enjoy tea, cake, music and good company
