What is Sounding Board?
Sounding Board is a new gathering for arts workers and cultural organisations to imagine a stronger future for creativity across our region.
Sounding Board will pilot a new approach to sector development in the Humber region, one that is informal, generous and rooted in listening. Freelance artists and cultural leaders will speak on an equal footing.
Sounding Board is shaped around three key themes:
- Making Art
- Making Art Happen
- Making Art Accessible
The day features speeches, panels and breakout sessions led by both independent practitioners and regional organisations.
Discussion topics include: young people in the arts, creative processes, reaching communities, disability in the arts, producing, fundraising, freelancing and why art matters in uncertain times.
Book your ticket now and be part of the conversation.
Who is Sounding Board for?
If you work in the arts and are passionate about its future, Sounding Board is for you - no matter your experience level. We want to bring people together to imagine a stronger future for creativity across the Humber. It’s a chance to share your views, connect with peers and spark fresh ideas about how the cultural sector can collaborate more boldly in our region.
