Unlike many jurisdictions, Jersey does not currently have a statutory public interest disclosure protection regime – more commonly known as whistleblowing.
But that could soon change. In June 2025, the Employment Forum recommended that the States introduce new legislation to protect workers who make disclosures in the public interest.
In this session, Simon Nash, Managing Director of Law At Work, and Kate Wright, CEO of Freeda, will explore what these changes will likely mean for Jersey employers and share practical steps organisations can take now.
What we’ll cover:
- What is whistleblowing and why it matters
- How whistleblowing regimes operate in other jurisdictions
- The Employment Forum’s recommendations for Jersey and what’s likely to change
- The impact on employment law and HR practice locally
