Join Ben MacKinnon, founder of e5 bakehouse in Hackney, for a one day sourdough baking masterclass at Fellows Farm, Gosbeck.
The farm, which grows organic bread wheat also has a micro bakery in the barn with a wood fired oven. During the day participants will learn about the art and science of sourdough baking, mix a range of different doughs and bake them off in the oven.
Four different breads will be made during the day including bagels, ciabatta, a light rye and a classic country loaf. A range of flours will be used including some from wheat grown in Gosbeck itself.
The breads will use a sourdough starter which participants will be given take home, along with plenty of knowledge of how to keep one alive.
