We’ve got a “new starter” at The Richard Hughes Cookery School: quite literally! Star baker Chris Payne is joining the team – the winner of the 2019 Norfolk Home Chef of the Year competition is an incredible baker and the King of Norfolk Sourdough. Chris will teach you how to make, love and cherish your sourdough starter, make your own loaf and take dough home to make more. As well as his signature sourdough he’ll be showing you how to make focaccia, soft white rolls and flat breads. What a way to spend a Saturday!

Students are given expert tuition and recipe sheets with step-by-step instructions as they cook at their own work stations on a central aisle. Once the hard work is over, it’s Richard and the team’s turn to cook and serve you lunch or afternoon tea, as you relax and reflect with your fellow students over a glass – or two - of wine.  

You then get to take all the fruits of your labour home to share with loved ones (after all, the proof is in the pudding. Or the starter. Or the main course…!).
