We are delighted to invite you to take part in a practical workshop, delivered by the School of Artisan Food in partnership with the Food and Drink Manufacturers Skills Programme.

Sourdough Workshop

This workshop will teach you all you need to know to make real sourdough. All you need is bread is flour, water, time for the wild yeasts to develop and an understanding of this artisan process.

- Learn the science of long fermentation

- Learn how to create and care for your own wild yeast starter

- Learn about each key stage of the sourdough baking process including mixing, proving and baking

The conference is fully funded by the ESF D2N2 Skills for Growth Project

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this funded course, you must meet the small business eligiblity criteria, set out in the booking form.

  • You must employ less than 250 employees

  • Be a manufacturer of food or drink products

  • Have a manufacturing base in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire
