Limited to 12 participants. Team Teach Level 2 is a 12-hour training program that teaches positive behaviour management strategies for medium-risk settings:
Audience: Designed for people who support individuals with challenging behaviours
Topics covered: Includes understanding challenging behaviour, social and legal context, personal safety, teamwork, de-escalation, and positive handling techniques.
Participants learn how to:
- Understand the drivers and motivations of individuals who may become aggressive and disruptive
- Build team confidence around supporting behaviour
- Use a toolkit of holistic strategies for de-escalation and crisis intervention
- Understand relevant legal standards and expectations related to use of force
- Gain a detailed understanding of the drivers behind behaviours of concern
- Gain a detailed understanding and development of skills within positive handling techniques.
