About this event

Join South Cumbria and North Lancashire IOSH Community for an insightful event on Occupational Health, led by Jacqui Hallett, an Independent Occupational Health Nurse Specialist from Wharfedale OH Ltd. With extensive experience across multiple industries from housing associations and the NHS to manufacturing, aviation, utilities and more – Jacqui brings a wealth of real-world knowledge to help you understand and apply OH best practice.

This session will explore health surveillance and fit for work assessments, what OH need to deliver effective programmes, and how to choose the right OH service if required. You will also learn what an OH needs assessment is, how health surveillance programmes are delivered and what Health and Safety teams should do with the information they receive.

We will also break down the difference between fit for work assessments – such as safety-critical medicals – and health surveillance, helping you understand when and why each is needed.

Don’t miss this opportunity! Join us to strengthen your knowledge, improve workplace health and make confident decisions for your organisation.

This is your opportunity to expand your knowledge to enhance your professional journey. This event plans to cover the following IOSH competencies: Occupational health and wellbeing (Technical), Risk monitoring and reporting (Technical) and Understanding of worker wellbeing (Technical) at Implement and Understand Level.

The event is open to members and non-members. If you have dietary, accessibility, or other requirements, please contact us at communities@iosh.com in advance.

This information will be shared with the venue that you are attending to help ensure staff are ready to assist if you need it.

As part of IOSH charitable objects, we offer this event free of charge. As we have limited spaces, we kindly ask that you inform us as soon as possible if you are no longer able to attend. This will allow us to offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. Please contact us at communities@iosh.com thank you for your consideration.
