Event description

Description

Are you aged 16-25 and want to make a difference for nature and the environment?

Join us in the South Downs National Park for an action day to help our rivers. This is your chance to help river wildlife and to learn more about their habitats. National Park rangers need your help to pull invasive Himalayan balsam from the river banks and to survey for insects living in the river.

What you'll need: drinking water, a snack or packed lunch and a passion for the environment!

What to wear: Sturdy outdoor footwear suitable for being out in the countryside on uneven paths and clothing suitable for the conditions like waterproof coat or sun hat/glasses

Where to meet: Petersfield Rugby Football Club before heading to Rotherlands Local Nature Reserve, Petersfield: https://www.petersfield-tc.gov.uk/rotherlands/

Full details will be confirmed after booking

Cost: it's free, this is volunteering!

Expenses: we can reimburse reasonable travel expenses
