SOUTH EAST Championships - National Series 2019 is kindly hosted by Target Shooting School at Bookham Rifle Club and open to all.

CLOSING DATE: Sunday 30th June 2019, if space is available, we will accept late entries.

This is a fun, welcoming event where beginners and novices are welcome, as well as those more experienced at target sprint. All you need is a pair of trainers and willingness to have fun! All equipment can be provided at no extra charge.

National Series: 49.5mm Targets / 400m Run

Age/Gender Categories: (Categorised according to date of birth).

  • YOUTH Women (2004 – 2008) 15 & Under – Minimum 11yrs as of 31st Dec 2019
  • YOUTH Men (2004 – 2008) 15 & Under – Minimum 11yrs as of 31st Dec 2019
  • JUNIOR Women (1999 – 2003) 16 – 20yrs
  • JUNIOR Men (1999 – 2003) 16 – 20yrs
  • Women (1998 > ) 21yrs +
  • Men (1998 > ) 21yrs +
  • Women-46* (1973 >) 46+yrs
  • Men-46* (1973 >) 46+yrs

*W46 and M46 categories will be recognised on the results within the Women’s and Men’s categories respectfully only.

This event is part of the British Shooting Target Sprint National Series 2019 only.

OPEN TO ALL, equipment available to borrow, no experience needed.

National Series Final: The top placed 5 available athletes in each age and gender category qualify for the National Series Final 2019, to be held on Sunday 22nd September at YOSC (Yate Outdoor Sports Complex, South Glos). More information on www.TargetSprint.com/events

This event will have an over 45's age category for both men and women.

OPEN TO ALL, equipment available to borrow.

Day Format: Results will be ranked according to athletes Heat Times and categorised into age/gender accordingly.

Race Format: (Same for all age categories).

Target size dependent on race type.

WE WELCOME YOU TO TARGET SHOOTING SCHOOL: This event is run alongside one of our emerging Regional Centres, Target Shooting School. IMPORTANT: Athletes will require a TS Safety Certificate to complete. These can either be attained prior to the event or over the event weekend by contacting Jeanette Leivers jeanette@targetshootingschool.co.uk https://www.targetshootingschool.co.uk/

Equipment: All equipment can be provided by the organiser. If athletes bring their own Air Rifles, they must comply with the 2019 National Series Rules and/or current ISSF Rules. (See: www.TargetSprint.com)

Do I need Target Sprint experience?

No experience needed prior to the event, but advised.

Is there training available on the day?

5mins training time will be allocated prior to each race. If time permits, further training will be available.

When is the National Series Final? (49.5mm Targets, 400m Run).

Sunday 22nd September at YOSC (Yate Outdoor Sports Complex), South Glos. BS37 7LB

When is the British Championships? (35mm Targets, 400m Run).

What is the minimum age?

11 years on 31st December 2019

Will I be contacted before the event?

Yes, the event organiser will contact you at least 7 days before the event and/or following the event closing date with your Heat Start Time and Event Timetable.

If I qualify for the National Final, do I have to compete at it?

No, but please notify the organiser at Events@BritishShooting.org.uk as soon as possible.

Do I need to bring anything to the event?

No. All equipment can be provided. After entering you will be added to the list of entrants, so no need to bring your event confirmation. Just wear suitable clothing and footwear for a running and shooting event.

What is your refund policy?

No refunds will be available.

Do I have to have experience of shooting?

No, but it's advised. Limited coaching will be available as part of the day.
