Samantha has studied, volunteered and worked in the science, engineering and technology sectors for over 34 years and has over 18 years' experience of advising defence, intelligence, central government, criminal justice, regulatory and law enforcement clients

She is a NCSC Certified Professional Lead Security and Information Risk Advisor

 

Steph Aldridge

Cyber Security Challenge UK

Cyber Centurion and Diversity Lead 

 

Since joining Cyber Security Challenge UK in January 2012, Steph has run many programmes and events to meet the core objective of strengthening pathways into industry and supporting a wider diversity of talent into the sector. Her part in the launch of Qufaro, was to set up and build the first Cyber Security Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) gaining centre status through City & Guilds.

She has built a support community which bridges networks both in and outside of the cyber security industry including OWASP, Stemettes, Code First: Girls and BCS Women’s. Running CyberCenturion for 12-18 year olds and arranging highly successful events specifically to tackle diversity issues, such as the UK’s first Neuro-diversity event, where business and students with Autism Spectrum Condition showcased their skills so suited to fill current industry gaps and delivering the annual Cyber STEM Girls Days at the National Museum of Computing.

Originally launched in November 2014 as the ‘Brighton Cyber Security Cluster’ we immediately expanded to Sussex and as registrations for events started appearing from across the South East Region, expansion to ‘South East Cyber’ was a natural progression.

Initially specialising in the defence and intelligence sector, Lockcode has supplied information and cyber security services to central Government, law enforcement and the criminal justice system since 2004. In 2015 and 2016 we also supplied the HMG-funded Cyber Security Small Business Champion. 

Lockcode's founder has over 34 years’ experience and education in science, technology and engineering with over 18 years’ experience delivering specialised and value-added Government and industry information and cyber security services.
