Description

South East Green Spaces Community Conference
- how can community groups work together to promote, protect and improve our vital public parks and green spaces?

A community conference for Friends and User Groups of green spaces in the counties of South East England
Saturday October 15th, 10.30am - 3pm
@ BMECP Centre, Brighton
Rose Room, 10A Fleet Street, Brighton, BN1 4ZE (5 mins walk from Brighton station).

The conference has been organised by the National Federation of Parks and Green Spaces - the umbrella organisation for the UK's Friends Groups movement. As a movement we have real challenges ahead of us due to a growing underfunding crisis and the need to protect all our green spaces. The aim is to bring local community groups and volunteer organisations together to share news and views, and identify key concerns and best practice across the region. We will discuss how groups can link up within towns and counties to support each other and to try to ensure the needs of our green spaces and communities are promoted effectively.

Representatives of green space community groups in the counties in South East England (but not including London) are all welcome to attend!  Attendance free. Refreshments and lunch provided.
