We will meet in Morrisons car park from 1.15pm to allow for a 1.30pm start (please note Morrisons car park is now only two hours free parking however, there is free street parking a short walk from the start point).

The route is approximatley 1 mile and can last up to two hours, all on pavements, including one cobbled passage-way.

Learn about the area before Southport existed, the River Nile, the Marine Residences of Nile Square, Dukes Folly, The Union Hotel, Southport's first theatre, Upper King Street (known as the bona-fide mecca of ther Sandgrounders) and the Boat builders yard on Park Street.
