Localised recruitment is one of the key pillars of the South Tyneside Pledge, with many Pledge members participating in careers fairs, recruiting apprentices and advertising roles locally. Some great collaborations have been forged between Pledge organisations on student placements, work experience and careers programmes.
Building a Stronger South Tyneside
Our Autumn networking event celebrates local recruitment. It will outline a range of employer support available to help South Tyneside businesses widen and diversify recruitment pools, and to help retain staff in the workplace, particularly those who may have health-related conditions.
The event will provide an update on some of the regional work and new initiatives coming into place to support employers and the workforce, and we will hear about some of the great practices of some of our Pledge organisations.
Share your business story
On booking organisations can opt in to speaking at the event, this can be simply to introduce your organisation, but we would warmly welcome any updates around local recruitment. Have you taken on an apprentice, hosted a work experience placement or actively promoted healthy lifestyles within the workplace? If so, we would love to hear more!
The event will start at 10am, but please feel free to join us from 9.15am for networking over coffee and light refreshments.
Places are reserved for Pledge organisations only, and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Pledge organsiations are welcome to bring leaflets, or pop-up banners to display at the back of the Conference room.
