Event description

Description

Our February meeting will explore the potential Cyber Roadmap from an 11 years old school child to young entrepreneurs being supported to form their own businesses after graduating from University.

The meeting will be hosted by the Alacrity Foundation at their historic building next to the river in Newport.

Parking is available right across the street in the Friar's Walk multi story car park.

The Alacrity team will give an overview of their history, methodology and success stories and there will be an opportunity to meet the brand new cohort of budding entrepreneurs.

In addition, the guest speaker will be from NCSC's Cyber First Programme which forms a pivotal part of the UK government’s National Cyber Security Programme. It covers a broad range of activities; a comprehensive bursary scheme, a girls only competition and development courses at UK universities and colleges. Each activity is designed to give talented young people the support, skills, experience and exposure they need to become cyberists of the future.

All of the material used on the Cyber First events can be made available to organisations who also want to help identify cyber talent in the young and steer them towards exciting careers and our speaker will explore how Cluster members can get involved.

See you all there!
