South Wales Cyber Security Cluster Meeting March 2017
Event Information
Description
The March meeting sees the Cluster return to the Principality Stadium where we will be hosted by Principality themselves. The Welsh rugby team may not be having the best 6 Nations Tournament this year but we are privileged nonetheless to be hosted on "hallowed ground".
Cluster member Michal Edwards, Group Information Security at Principality has organised a fascinating meeting for us. Starting with a talk from Robert Jones, Group Risk Director who will present a "Board-level Risk View" from this enterprise financial institution.
Then we will be treated to a guest presentation from David Ferbrache OBE, Technical Director of the Cyber Security Practice at KPMG. The practice was awarded the Compliance Register Platinum Award 2015 for the "Best Cyber Security Support Firm" and since joining them a year ago, David has led the development of cyber security services and also advises KPMG’s key clients on how best to defend against the most sophisticated cyber threats. Prior to working for KPMG, David was the Head of Cyber & Space at the Ministry of Defence and he has over 25 years’ experience of technology risk and information security, working at the most senior levels of government to formulate cyber policy, drive programme delivery and lead international engagement. With such a fascinating background David's talk titled "KPMG - The Evolving Nature of Cyber Security Risks" promises to be a real treat!
