About this event

The Convention is being organised by Somerset Beekeepers Association on behalf of the South West Beekeepers Forum

This is an opportunity for AHATs across the South West Region to come together for a practical training day. In the South West we are on the front-line in terms of possible Asian Hornet incursions, and this is a chance to be more prepared, and to find useful ways of working together.

(This event is an Asian Hornet training day, and the BBKA AHAT Forum in February is for developing Asian Hornet policy)

There will be a choice of workshops, presentations, displays, and discussions

• Learn new skills and update existing ones

• Share good practice

• Hear about the latest developments in Asian Hornet Research

Speakers include: Dr Peter Kennedy (Exeter University)

Dr Sarah Bunker (author of The Asian Hornet Handbook)

Alastair Christie, Jersey Asian Hornet Coordinator reviewing 2019

Bring your own lunch or get sandwiches from Canalside - info@thecanalside.co.uk
