Come and celebrate all things science with us in a delightful evening of science-themed stand-up comedy, stories, and silliness from some of Southampton’s funniest and nerdiest people.
This month we celebrate the Celsius thermometer scale with the birthday of its inventor Anders Celsius, the Swede who was surprised to discover that numbers above 0 were theoretically possible. And the world of publishing marks a remarkable coincidence - William Caxton printed England's first ever book on 18th November, while19th November saw the first Kindle sold - just 530 years later!
This month we welcome musical comedian Amelia Hamilton, whose fusion of rap and stand-up will have you in stitches, with every line packed with clever gags and quick-fire wit. She will be joined on stage by new comedians from the University of Southampton, showing off the funny side of their lives as researchers and educators.
Doors open at 7pm and the show will start at 7:30pm. The venue is unlicensed, so Bring Your Own Bottles (BYOB), but it's also a bookshop so come prepared to Buy Your Own Books! Have a browse, have a bevvy and have a laugh.
