Come and celebrate all things science with us in a delightful evening of science-themed stand-up comedy, stories, and silliness from some of Southampton’s funniest and nerdiest people.
It's the week before Christmas and time for us to put some science in the season! Did you know that Isaac Newton - one of the greatest scientists of all time - was born on Christmas Day? But born in a manor, not a stable, and although visited by shepherds his dad was a sheep farmer, not God.
This month we welcome "Arab, Brummy, Muslim, Cancer Research scientist" Hasan Al-Habib who is “Deliciously funny” (The Guardian) and “super talented” (Mae Martin). He will be joined on stage by new comedians from the University of Southampton, showing off the funny side of their lives as researchers and educators.
Doors open at 7pm and the show will start at 7:30pm. The venue is unlicensed, so Bring Your Own Bottles (BYOB), but it's also a bookshop so come prepared to Buy Your Own Books! Have a browse, have a bevvy and have a laugh.
