Session Details: Building an automated database deployment pipeline
Bio: Alex has worked with database change management tools at Red Gate for four years, collaborating closely with users and dev teams along the way. As a pre-sales engineer, he gets to see a huge variety of server and dev environments, and helps folks solve their database development and delivery problems in whatever way works well for them. Ever the sharer, he also blogs about the lessons he learns.

Session Details: Adding reliability and credibility to database development: how we source controlled our database and what we learnt along the way
Bio: Steph is a SQL Server and BI Developer working for a SaaS vendor based in Southampton, delivering enterprise class services that integrate with their customers systems. Currently Steph is leading the migration to SQL Server 2012 of a large scale solution using the whole Microsoft SQL Server Stack, making heavy use of Red Gate products to speed the build, test and deployment process.

Southampton Data Platform User Group
Southampton Data Platform user group has been running since 2010, in that time we have had many speakers both local and international present high quality sessions on a range of SQL Server and data platform topics. We aim to deliver high quality training and insight for free to the SQL Server community. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month (except January).
The user group has been run by John Q Martin (Twitter | LinkedIn) & Steph Middleton (Twitter | LinkedIn) for the last four years, in which time we have seen the group grow significatly with members joining and moving on.
