Southampton Stand Up Comedy just got BIG Christmas Special- Saturday 20th December at The Attic

To warm you up this Christmas an unbelievable line up of Stand up Comedy with 7 comedians for just £15.

Paul F Taylor stand-up comedian comes to Southampton

Growing up, people often accused him of having his head in the clouds. Recently diagnosed with ADHD, it's little wonder that he hasn't had his feet on the ground.

Now, Paul questions his place in this world of distractions that seems not built for people like him. Learning the hard way as a new father, having something that demands focus when he can't concentrate isn't easy for him.

Yet, in this very serious world, Paul makes his case that, every now and again, we can very much benefit from having our head in the clouds. By airlifting audiences into a world of whimsy, he suggests that a touch of fantasy can be a welcome escape.

MC for the evening Vinny Shiu at Southampton's premier Stand-Up Comedy Club

Vinny Shiu is a stand up comedian who combines comedy songs with stories and jokes to highlight his unique upbringing; growing up in the West, as part of an Asian family.

Vinny believes that comedy is not only about sharp jokes but also about giving audiences a performance. His style is immersive, physical and dynamic. He is the winner of Southampton comedian of the year 2023 and was a semi-finalist in British comedian of the year 2023.

Aideen McQueen

Aideen McQueen is coming to Southampton, and she is not one to be missed! She brings the brightest sparks in the new generations of Irish comics. This side-splittingly funny comedian makes sure to bring the sass, the sexy, and the saucy.

Aideen can be regularly spotted on RTE, TG4, and BBC Norther Ireland alongside her many writing credits with BBC Radio 4. On top of supporting many popular comedians like Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay, Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Des Bishop, David O Doherty, Neil Delamere, Arthur Smith and Frankie Boyle, she has also become the resident comperes at the world-famous International Comedy Club in Dublin.

Aideen McQueen is also a professional musician (singer and guitarist), one of the Irish language’s foremost proponents and a former primary school teacher. She describes herself as, “spontaneous - in the losing my keys rather than the kitesurfing way.”

“Best young comic I’ve seen in ages.” Arthur Smith

“One of comedy’s undiscovered talents.” Hot Press

“Such a strong act.” Des Bishop

“Brilliant with the crowd.” Irish Independent

Andrew Fox Komedia new comedian of the year

“His gag-rich set draws on a few stereotypes, sometimes as a shortcut, and sometimes to subvert, as in his delightful description of what to do if facing an aggressive ‘chav’. With a surfeit of punchlines and a clear, authentic world view, ripe for affectionate mockery, he took the title on this close-fought night.” Steve Bennett, Chortle

“In his baseball cap and trackie bottoms and talking about growing up on a council estate he could have come across as a cousin of Simon Brodkin's Lee Nelson but Fox's stories had a ring of authenticity about them, well, maybe not the one about him being so small his parents could slip him and his endless siblings through the window when they lost their keys, but certainly some of his material. And Fox was clearly smart on the subject of class, aptly making the point that, of course, working class kids can be smart too. A clever and accessible set which, up against close competition, won him first prize on the night.” Bruce Dessau, Beyond the Joke

“Hugely relatable, funny, warm, and engaging! Go see him!!” Esther Manito

“One of the most exciting new comedy voices to emerge from Brighton. Smart, original gag-writing with a lot of heart and hilarious authenticity.” Jill Edwards, Promoter – Comic Boom comedy club at Komedia Brighton

Tim Biglowe

A runner up at West End New Act Of The Year 2023. Tim is a comedian that lives on a canal boat. It's high-energy stand up from a calamitious captain."Assured the audience they were in for a decent night" - Chortle"A rare breed indeed. Great jokes among well crafted stories" - Indie Comedy Review

Heski

Prepare yourself for sore cheeks, this ball of energy from the south coast is a very funny man already starting to make waves in the UK Comedy Circuit being placed 3rd Dorset comedian this year and already through to Ricky Gervais National competition spirt of comedy semi final with sights on the Grand Final. silence fears the original nutter comedy sensation hailing from Bournemouth

Pat Smith

Essex-born ex-soldier turned comedian Pat Smith has swapped barracks for the stage, armed with a sharp wit and a cheeky grin. A man clearly drawn to careers where avoiding bombs is key, Pat has made waves in comedy since stepping up to the mic.

He’s racked up wins at top competitions like Leicester Comedy Festival’s Laughter Craft Gong and Up The Creek’s The Blackout, and claimed victory on Ustreme TV’s Laughter Class. His success led to Pat Smith: LIVE, a 30-minute stand-up special commissioned by Ustreme TV, and a spot supporting Jim Davidson on tour.

Pat’s online sketches have gone viral, amassing millions of views and earning a feature on BBC Essex’s Upload. His rise has also grabbed headlines in outlets like Chortle and The Sunday Express.

Now touring the UK, Pat proves Essex isn’t all about TOWIE—it’s about being “stupid in other ways” too. With raw charm and hilarious tales about family, friends, and life, Pat will have you laughing from the get-go.
