About this event

Join Us for a Festive Wreath-Making Workshop!

Get into the Christmas spirit at Maggie’s Southampton on Monday 8th December for a delightful wreath-making workshop. Using fresh foliage, you'll create a beautiful wreath to decorate your home or gift to someone special.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with drinks, nibbles, and plenty of festive cheer, all while supporting a great cause. Whether you're a crafting pro or trying something new, our friendly team will guide you through the process step by step.

The workshop is led by Chris Bird and Mary Edelsten. Chris is a Lecturer at Sparsholt College Group, leads on creating the Maggie's Beautiful Borders at BBC Gardeners' World Spring Fair at Beaulieu, and has a long history of designing displays at RHS Chelsea Flower Show including ten Gold medals and seven Best in Category awards. Mary has an NHS background, studied Horticulture and Garden Design at Sparsholt College, and delights in sharing the fascination, fun and friendship plants can bring to life.

Spaces are limited, so secure your spot today and make your season extra special with Maggie’s!

Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.

Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie's centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need.

Our centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.

The first Maggie’s opened in Edinburgh in 1996 and since then Maggie’s has continued to grow, with 26 centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK and abroad.
