About this event

  • Event lasts 7 hours

Celebrate 200 Years of Railway Innovation with Southeastern!

This unique event, hosted by our expert engineering team, offers visitors of all ages the opportunity to see behind the scenes and explore one of our largest train depots.

All attendees will receive a limited-edition tote bag to remember the day!

Tickets for the earlier time slots are quickly selling out. Because this is a working depot we have had to stagger the times of entry to avoid congestion, but no matter what time entry ticket you have you’re able to stay until the event closes at 5pm.

🍕 Food and drink

No need to go hungry while feasting your eyes on the trains, we have a range of delicious food and drink available to purchase including pizzas and burgers.

🚶Getting there

There’s no parking at the depot, so we encourage all visitors to travel by train to Ashford International Station, just a short walk away.

🎟️Ticket Proceeds

Southeastern will not make any profit from ticket sales.

Ticket proceeds are being used to support costs of running the event and all profit will be shared with the five Railway 200 charities (Alzheimer’s Research UK, Railway Benefit Fund, Railway Children, Railway Mission, and Transport Benevolent Fund CIO).

Accessibility information

We have some accessible parking available on a first come first served basis on the day. We will be running a shuttle bus to and from the depot.

If you do have accessibility requirements, please note that whilst we plan to make the site as accessible as possible, this is a working train depot and full accessibility cannot be guaranteed across some of the site.

Carers and companions of attendees with accessibility requirements will receive a 50% discount off the price of an adult ticket.

If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact Southeastern customer services here. (Please note: we don't require you to fill in the journey, ticket, and payment details).

Join us for a day of celebration, discovery, and fun as we celebrate the legacy and future of the railway industry!
