Southwark Culture Health and Wellbeing Partnership (SCHWeP) is an innovative model of partnership facilitating exchange of expertise and experience across the cultural community and health and care system. The partnership which has come together to tackle inequalities in Southwark is the first borough-wide strategic approach to culture, health and wellbeing taken by a local authority.

This conference will bring together individuals, organisations and networks with a keen interest in how culture can contribute to the health and wellbeing of our local communities and achieve greater impact through partnership-working. It will involve short thought-provoking presentations and creative thinking; exploring some of the opportunities and challenges related to health inequalities in local culture, health and wellbeing programmes.

Hear from the Culture Health and Wellbeing Alliance, London Arts in Health Forum, Arts Council in London and the Greater London Authority Culture Team as well as SCHWeP members doing inspirational work across Southwark. There will be opportunities to find out about the diverse ways health inequalities are being tackled at national, regional and local levels including social prescribing initiatives and creative community programmes.
