What the Lambeth and Southwark Strategic Partnership is, and what its focus is?

The Southwark and Lambeth Strategic Partnership comprised the Lambeth and Southwark Clinical Commissioning Groups, Lambeth and Southwark Local Authorities, GP Federations, South London and the Maudsley, King’s College and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trusts, King’s Health People and local people. Members of the Partnership are working together to help increase the value of care for people in Lambeth and Southwark . The Partnership wants to ensure that local people using or working in health and social care services are involved and can influence priorities.

What the People’s Assembly is? Who can join?

The People's Assembly is an open public meeting, available to members of the public as people who work or volunteer in health and social care locally. This is a good chance for local people to hear from the Strategic Partnership and contribute to its future plans. Anyone can attend! We are hoping for representation from a wide range of communities and backgrounds. This includes local people with lived experience, and those wishing to help shape healthcare in Southwark and Lambeth.

Who will be speaking?

The Partnership has an independent Chair – Suzanne McCarthy. Suzanne will talk about the priorities of the Partnership. Dr Sean Cross, Clinical Director of the King's Health Partners Mind & Body Programme and Kate Lillywhite, Programme Director, will speak about the Mind and Body Programme along with local people involved in the work. Councillor Jim Dickson will chair the event.

Your input will influence future priorities and help us develop future engagement activities.

Join us from 5:00pm, for a 5:30pm start.

Refreshments will be provided.

The purpose of our Mind & Body Programme at King's Health Partners is to better integrate physical and mental healthcare. Mental and physical health are inseparable, and mental and physical health conditions are often connected - in fact, when these health problems are combined, people can be less able to manage their conditions and experience worse health outcomes. Our aim is to champion and drive the integration of mental and physical healthcare so we can provide whole person care and improve patient outcomes.
