Description
Who will lead Southwark after the local elections on 3rd May 2018? What will their vision be for Southwark?
On Tuesday 24th April 2018, just over a week before the London Local Elections on 3rd May 2018, Bankside Residents' Forum (BRF) in partnership with Southwark Cathedral will be hosting the second LE2018 hustings Leaders Debate at Southwark Cathedral.
This will be the last of a series of hustings that Bankside Residents' Forum will be hosting with a number of organisations across Southwark and North Lambeth.
Typically Local Elections have far less turnout compared to General Elections. We seek to change this by providing opportunities for more people to get engaged locally.
The hustings will be chaired by Amir Eden, Chair of Bankside Residents' Forum and the event will be co-hosted with The Very Reverend Andrew Nunn, Dean of Southwark
We would like to invite you to come along and use this opportunity to question the leaders of the local parties about issues which are of concern to you.
Selected questions will be put to the Leaders of the local parties. If you would like to ask a question please email info@banksideresidentsforum.org your question with your full name.
By registering online you have a greater chance that your question will be asked and you will be afforded preferential seating at the event.
There will also be opportunities for questions to be asked from the audience throughout the event.
Leaders from the local Labour Party, Liberal Democrats, Conservative Party, Green Party will be attending the hustings.
