Sovereign Debt Forum experts Lee Buchheit, Anna Gelpern, Sean Hagan, Mitu Gulati, Rosa Lastra, Rodrigo Olivares Caminal and Mark Weidemaier will discuss in this webinar a pressing issue in the context of the Coronavirus crisis, namely the tsunami of sovereign debt restructurings which is expected in highly indebted emerging economies. In particular, they will consider the available toolkit, the best strategy to deal with these problems (looking back at the approaches of the 1980s and 1990s) and the thorny issue of when, how much, and why debt relief.
