SOW TO SEW - Fibre Fridays

This is the third stage of our project which involves demonstrations and processing of flax fibres using crops harvested this year.

This activity is suitable for all ages and abilities. We welcome anyone that would like to learn about the traditional methods of flax processing and linen threads application.

An introductory demonstration about natural dyeing techniques will be given and participants will have the opportunity to see samples of different colored fibres and textile work.

Further free workshops relating to flax processing, the harvest and linen yarn application in textile art will take place in the autumn and the winter season. Details will be posted on our website www.ariadnesthreadgroup.org
