SPA-317: Putting the "Sec" into "DevOps"
Event Information
Description
Refreshments and sandwiches from 18:00.
Synopsis
Many software delivery teams are starting to embrace DevOps, a combination of agile software development and infrastructure management within a single team providing a seamless process of delivery and remediation. The motivation behind this is to deliver applications in smaller bite-sized chunks in cycles that allow multiple updates to software and supporting infrastructure within production daily.
However, it is important that the speed does not come at the expense of security. In the current cyber world, security vulnerabilities are exploited with ever greater frequency, often resulting in financial or data loss, reputational damage and punitive fines. Therefore, security measures must be adopted within the DevOps lifecycle in order to reduce the risk of introducing security vulnerabilities into your value products.
