In this masterclass international speaker and bestselling author Simon Hazeldine will explore why so many sales people struggle when they are negotiating with their customers.
In this interactive session we will consider:

  • The psychological profile of the sales person and how this may be helping or hindering their negotiation success
  • The underlying belief that so many sales people have that causes them to make concessions too easily and quickly in customer negotiations
  • What is the difference between selling and negotiating and do salespeople really understand this?
  • Selling behaviours that cause problems in the negotiation stage of the sales process
  • The “upstream errors” that cause “downstream problems” in the sales process
  • What sales managers are doing that cause their sales people to make negotiation mistakes
  • What should we, as the sales performance sector, be doing to close the negotiation skill gap?

Simon Hazeldine works internationally as a professional speaker, trainer and consultant in the areas of sales, negotiation and leadership.
His client list includes many Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies, and as a highly experienced and in-demand international speaker he has spoken in over 30 countries across six continents. He has also spoken at many leading business schools including Insead, Oxford Said and London Business School.
Simon has a Master’s Degree in Psychology and is the bestselling author of five books that have been endorsed by business leaders including multi-millionaire Duncan Bannatyne from “Dragon’s Den” and multi-billionaire business legend Michael Dell.
Simon is the co-founder of leading sales podcast “The Sales Chat Show” and has been described as “The UK’s #1 Negotiation Expert”
Prior to his career in business Simon worked as a nightclub bouncer and as a bodyguard to celebrities in the music and film industry.
In his spare time, he “enjoys” running up and down mountains with members of the Special Air Service and indulging in his lifelong passion for the martial arts.
