Event Details

Alan H. Palmer is the author of “Talk Lean: Shorter meetings. Quicker results. Better relations.” which was shortlisted for the Chartered Management Institute’s “Management Book of the Year” in 2015. The subject of the book – and this highly interactive workshop - is an innovative and transcultural verbal approach to business meetings and relationships originally developed in France by a company called Interactifs and now taught widely within companies and in business schools across Europe and around the world.



The approach focusses on the everyday verbal interactions in business - the meetings and conversations, internal and external, at every level, up, down and across the hierarchy - which is the catalyst for building relationships, for managing teams, for making things happen, for generating sales and for looking after customers. By steering a course which is refreshingly simple, direct and open but always courteous and respectful, it radically reduces the extent to which the unsaid and the unheard can pollute meetings and reduce their effectiveness. Instead, it generates a climate which favours the rapid production of both concrete results and enhanced relationships.


The workshop is a condensed version of Interactifs’ full course, but will nevertheless be a genuine learning event.
