Dear Councillor and all
The 22nd of April is International Earth Day (http://www.earthday.org), and Merseyside Cycling Campaign is holding this rally at the same time as other campaigning organisations all over the UK, coordinated by Cycling UK, the largest organisation in the UK to support cyclists and promoting bicycle use for all. All Metromayoral candidates and Councillors in each of the six Liverpool City Regions are invited, plus we would like all within the Liverpool City Region to attend where possible.
We want to express our love of cycling and our belief that enabling cycling as a way of transport, whether for leisure, for sport, or to get to and from work, school, or shopping, or any other reason, and for ages from 5 to 85, should be a priority.
We would love to see you at the event if you are free on that Saturday morning.
If you are able to, bring your bicycle or come on foot to support this important cause.
Please do not hesitate to reply with any questions you might have.
Martin Dunschen / Stella Shackel
on Behalf of MCC (Merseyside Cycling Campaign)
P.S. Please note that as an attendee you take full responsibility for any travel arrangements and attend the event entirely at your own risk.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
If possible, please travel by public transport (http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk), by bicycle or on foot, or a combination.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring your bicycle if you can to demonstrate your support for more Space 4 Cycling in the Liverpool City Region.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Please contact Merseysidecyclingcampaign@hotmail.co.uk
