About this event
Are you part of a community group with a passion for heritage? Or maybe you work for a museum, library, gallery or archive with a bold idea for community-led research, but you need funding and support to bring your ideas to life? The ‘Spaces, Places and Belonging’ Community Hub is a new national programme which will offer three grant schemes - Seed Corn Grants, Skills Bursaries, and Project Grants - totalling £550,000.
With applications for our Seed Corn grants and Bursaries opening on the 15th September 2025, we are hosting a launch webinar to take you through each grant scheme in detail. Covering everything from eligibility to assessment criteria to budgets, the webinar will offer the opportunity to hear more about these new schemes, and ask the team any questions relating to the programme in the Q&A.
The Community Hub will also be delivering a programme of training, digital skills development, and network-building, alongside the creation of a permanent digital platform to share resources, learning, and best practice. This will work to ensure that community engagement becomes a lasting part of the national collection, designed to empower underrepresented communities and build confidence across the sector. The Hub will be a collaborative, flexible, and sustainable space for innovation and inclusion.
Led by The National Archives in partnership with Leeds Museums & Galleries, the National Library of Wales, and the Community Archives & Heritage Group, this programme is funded by the AHRC (UKRI). It will support inclusive, community-led research across the UK’s galleries, libraries, archives, and museums (GLAM) and heritage sectors. Come along on the 17th to hear more and have your questions answered.
The webinar will be recorded, but the Q&A will not.
