Event description

Designed for adult learners this SIX-WEEK course is jam-packed full of useful phrases, vocabulary and tips that will make travelling in a Spanish-speaking country a breeze. It will get you conversing with locals and making new friendships all over the globe.

Course content

Each week we will look in detail at the different stages of asking for directions including; asking where you are, asking how to get to somewhere & asking how far somewhere is.

We will be using real maps and in each session will be looking at the different vocabulary as well as the different verbs in the Imperitive (command) tense you need not only to ask for directions but also to correctly interpret replies.

A variety of quality activities will allow students to develop their listening skills and practice reading & writing skills. Plenty of role play opportunities will help build confidence when speaking. Extra activities will be also made available to practice in-between lessons.

OnLine resources

I use different high-quality online resources and send students personal login details for our online classroom in Edmodo where I will be sharing the activities we cover each week aswell as supporting resources. Students will also receive access to flashcards in Quizlet which reinforce the vocabulary they are learning each week.

There are many other recommendations of resources that I will be making as we progress through the course that can support your Spanish language-learning journey.

OnLine Platform & Equipment

The course will take place on the conferening platform Zoom for which I pay a premium subscription. I will send you a unique Meeting ID to access the course. All you need is a decent internet connection, computer (PC, Laptop, Tabley or SmartPhone), speaker (either built-in or external), microphone and webcam.

Is this course for you?

The objective of this course is to increase confidence when travelling and to make it an enjoyable experience.

Although there is some grammar included in the course content it is not my intention to spend too long on these sections or get bogged down on different tenses. I have therefore carefully selected the minimum grammar necessary to ensure this course be at a level suitable for beginners.

  • If you already have a little bit of Spanish (can say "Hola" and ask "¿Cómo estas?") and want to improve your communication with locals then this course is for you!

  • If you regularly travel to Spain or are planning a trip to Central or South America then this course is for you.

  • If you have already attended a Spanish course and want to build on your existing knowledge, then this course is for you.

  • If you are an independent learner and want to take your journey to the next level by putting in practice what you have learnt so far then this course is for you.

  • You simply love the Spanish language and want to practice speaking as much as possible with like-minded people.

However, if you aren't quite sure if it's suitable feel free to drop me an email at kelly@adventuresinspanish.co.uk and I can assess your level.

A full detailed overview of the course content will be provided once your subscription is complete and payment has been received.
