Spark and Time: The Muriel Spark Society Lecture 2017

Tuesday 14 November, 6 pm

The centenary of one of Scotland's greatest writers, Muriel Spark, falls in 2018. The Muriel Spark Society begins the celebrations by inviting one of our most distinguished contemporary authors, Ali Smith, to deliver the annual Spark lecture. Ali Smith is the prize-winning author of 'How to be Both', and the novel quartet, Seasonal, the second of which, 'Winter', will be published in November. She has introduced Spark's novels for Virago, and reviewed Spark's final novel, 'The Finishing School' for 'The Guardian'.
