Event description

Description

If you have a business idea you wish to develop and are interested in finding out more about how the ONE Life Sciences Accelerator Programme can help, then the Boot Camp is the perfect place to start.

The Boot Camp is an intensive two-and-a-half day programme suitable for anyone wishing to learn the tools and techniques to explore their own life science start-up business idea, or to stress test their current company product, services and business model. It is not essential to have a well-explored business plan to participate. The programme is suited equally to those who have a spark of an idea they wish to evaluate, through to fully formed companies.

The aim of the Boot Camp is to help you create products and or services that match the needs of your customers as well as give you a taste for the more intensive 12 week Develop programme that will start in January 2018.

This programme is being delivered in partnership with BioCity Group. BioCity is the largest incubator and accelerator of life science businesses in the UK. Participation in any of the programmes will allow businesses to tap into BioCity’s network of existing businesses and life science and healthcare experts.

It is important that participants attend all elements of the Boot Camp

Frequently asked questions:

1. Is it necessary to have IP / NDAs in place?
It is not necessary to have IP in place for any products/ideas you wish to explore. Participants are not required to sign non-disclosure agreements. You will not be describing your idea at the detailed level that would risk disclosure. If you have any concerns we are happy to discuss those with you prior to the event.

2. Would I need to prepare anything beforehand?
You do not need to do any preparation beforehand, but you will be given the opportunity to talk about your business idea, generally, to the group (if you have one formulated). If you do not have a formalised business idea, you are still very much welcome to join in the process. Not all of the ideas presented will be worked on over the two days. The focus is on providing you with tools and methods to deliver your business.

3. Do I need to bring anything with me?
If you have a laptop, please bring it along.

4. Will food be provided?
Drinks, (tea, coffee and water) and lunch will be provided for as part of the event during all three days.
