Description


Are you aged between 15 and 19? Interested in working in the arts? Do you love creative writing and reading? Would you like to find out how a Literature Festival works?

Learn skills essential for hosting and presenting events as part of Birmingham Literature Festival and gain experience of what happens behind the scenes. Under the tuition of Rachel New, experienced radio presenter and writer, and Jonathan Davidson, Chief Executive of Writing West Midlands, you can discover what makes a festival tick.

Sessions will take place as follows:
Saturday 21st September: 1.30 - 4.30pm at Studio 130 Zellig, Gibb Street, Birmingham B9 4AT,
Saturday 28th September: 1.30 - 4.30pm at Studio 130 Zellig, Gibb Street, Birmingham B9 4AT,
Sunday 6th October 2019: exact times to be confirmed,
at the REP/Library of Birmingham,

You will need to be available for all the dates.

Cost: Just £10 gets you copies of the books as well as refreshments. Bursaries available to those in receipt of pupil premium. Contact the office to apply for a bursary in confidence.
