Welcome to the bookings page for Sparks 2026. We are very happy to confirm the dates as the weekend of 16th - 18th January 2026.
If you have arrived here because you've been to Sparks before, or have been invited by somebody that has, then please go ahead and book your space. You can trust they think you'll enjoy it. However if you have no relational connection to Sparks, we recommend you give us a quick email on paul.wenham@ashburnham.org.uk, just to check it's a gathering you would feel comfortable in. It's a space where doubt and not-knowing are welcomed, which, in our experience, is frustrating for some people, and not a space they want to pay to be in!
There will, of course, be more good food, conversation, music and story-telling under bright starlit skies. crackling fires and friendship.
Children are exceedingly welcome and we will find ways to involve them in the general flow as well as having specific activities for them to get involved in.
As ever this is a relational gathering, spread by word of mouth and shaped by those present so please feel free to suggest a conversation that you could help ‘spark’ or invite people that you think will add to the richness of the time together.

Some practicalities:
The weekend will have some planned structure with intentional learning spaces, workshops, a cinema room, night walks, etc. but much of the learning will be found in conversations around firesides, across meal tables, over coffees and as you stroll through the woods. The guide price for our time together is £135.00 per adult which covers all meals, beds, sessions, kid’s work, fires, fireworks, workshops, walks, wild swims and music. However, we don’t ever want a lack of finance to be an obstacle to people joining in with the conversation so there is a ‘donate what you can’ option, just use the ‘Sparks Donation Pass’ option on the Eventbrite page and enter an amount you can afford.
We allocate rooms on a first come first served basis so if you want to stay in an en-suite room it is better to book sooner rather than later.
This is a gathering that works through personal invitation and is curated by all of us so if you have something you’d like to contribute – be it art, food, dance, wisdom or something entirely different, please do let us know. If there is someone you know who you think would enjoy joining in, please do invite them.
