Join our workshop leader on this 45-minute, whistle-stop tour of the Sparkyard Music Curriculum. Our session will provide an overview of our flexible, skills-based curriculum with Out of the Ark songs at its heart. We’ll unpack the key features, explore specific curriculum areas such as composing, and give you a taste of our curriculum activities from Reception to Year 6. We’ll also throw in some practical ideas for implementing the curriculum in your setting!

Audience: Whether you are a trainee teacher, experienced music coordinator or a school leader, this session will help you get the very best out of Sparkyard to enable you to develop an inspiring curriculum sequence for your children and instil a lifelong love of music and singing.

For nearly 30 years, we have been providing singing resources to over 18,000 schools. Our workshops have been carefully designed to spark creativity and imagination, and to build the skills necessary to allow any teacher to confidently use songs to support the music and general curriculums. Our workshop leaders are all education professionals and singing/music specialists, with a wealth of experience in developing and delivering singing in schools, classrooms, music services, and PGCE and SCITT training.
