We are inviting young people, aged 18-30, from Anglican churches across South London and East Surrey for a weekend at Wychcroft Retreat Centre to explore their vocation.
Gone are the days when young people are told to go away, get a life and return where you’re older. The Church has woken up to the gift young people can be to the Church as leaders – and the truth that we only truly grow when we respond to God’s call today.
If you are a young person with a sense of call to be ordained, it is very easy to feel like you’re on your own – but over the last decade an increasing number of people under 30 are coming forward to explore their call.
This weekend will be an opportunity to meet other young people, who are exploring their vocation – and a place for them to be inspired by young church leaders and students, sharing their stories of responding to God’s call and where it has led.
If you’d like any further information about the weekend, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
If you're interested, talk to your vicar or chaplain - and register here.
When is it? Friday evening (6pm) to Sunday afternoon (4pm), 4th to 6th November 2016.
Who is it for? Young people aged 18-30 from churches and chaplaincies in Southwark Diocese. How much does it cost? It’s free!
