Speak Out: Using your voice to influence others
Event Information
Description
“If you’re right and you know it, speak your mind.
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth.”
- Mahatma Gandhi
Introduction
Many of us don’t use our voice as often as we should. We play small, we try to fit in, we people please.
But this only serves to make us invisible. Our opinions, our beliefs get pushed out, and we become the victim, at the mercy of other people’s decisions. We diminish our footprint in the sand.
What’s the impact? When we look back to see what we stood for in our lives, we won’t find us at all, we’ll simply find the beliefs and opinions of the people around us.
So we have a responsibility, to ourselves and to each other, to speak up.
But speaking up isn't always easy. This Breakfast of Change explores how to uncover your voice, build your confidence and begin to effect change.
- Do you want to live with more purpose?
- Do you want to exert greater influence on what happens around you?
- Do you want to build your confidence at work?
Come to this Breakfast of Change!
Breakfast of Change
Once a quarter we bring together a cross-section of individuals for a unique Breakfast of Change. Each event brings fresh thinking to a challenge holding individuals and organisations back.
Using the power of the network to explore new possibilities, each Breakfast of Change kickstarts the day and reinvigorates the agent of change in each of us.
