Speak Up one day Workshop

This workshop will help you speak with confidence in class. The workshop will include:
- Challenging the fear of speaking in class.
- Confidence building.
- Rules of effective speaking.
- Rules of effective group discussions.
- How to ask the right questions - Understanding R.E.D.
You will have time to
- practice your speaking skills
- record you speaking.
- Personal Feedback
We aim to create a supportive environment in which you feel free to learn, practice and ask questions.
Who should attend this workshop?
This workshop is aimed at UK students who are about to start an undergraduate course in any subject or international students who are studying on a competitive course. You will have the following attributes:

Suzanne Reece, The Study Coach
Suzanne Reece is a solicitor (non- practising) who worked for over 17 years in several legal firms. She later moved into education teaching post graduate law at City University of London for nearly 10 years. She is also a guest lecturer at Coventry University. She has:
- Taught speaking skills to post-graduate law students for nearly 10 years.
- Spoken in courts to judges for over 17 years.
- Spoken at tribunal and inquests hearings.
- Designed teaching and academic support for advocacy students.
- Designed student self-help programmes for improving speaking skills.
- Marked assessments for speaking skills.
- Designed speaking skills assessments.
Students wants to understand their taught subjects. Tutors are consistently assessing students’ engagement in class as part of formal and informal assessments. Students can learn more and show they are engaged with their subject by Speaking Up in class. Suzanne has taught thousands of students and helped many students improve their spoken skills so they can obtain first class grades. Join her for a workshop that will really change the way you Speak Up in class.

What will the Workshop cost?
The first 4 students will receive a £100 discount and pay £149.27 (including the booking fee £9.27) and lunch.
The full cost of the workshop is £250.16 (including booking fee £15.16) and lunch.

What's the refund policy?
Yes. Full refund 7 complete days before your workshop. 7or less days you will be offered an alternative workshop. The organiser may at her discretion offer a refund.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. Download your ticket to your mobile device or bring your printed ticket.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Is lunch included with the ticket price ?
Refreshments and lunch is provided in the cost of your ticket. Hot and cold drinks are available during the day. If you have any special dietary requirements, please email with details at least 7 days before your workshop. Lunch will consist of artisan sandwiches, fruit and cake. Hot tea, coffee and bottled water are free during the day.
