Speakeasy: Courageous Conversations
Wed 26 April 2017, 08:30 – 10:30 BST
Join the brand new women's network to build confidence from within. Having received rave reviews in 2016 when it rolled out across a large FTSE 100 organisation, we are thrilled to be able to open the network to the rest of the world.
Inspiring Women at Work
According to the Dalai Lama, 'the world will be saved by western women'. The world will come, but we have to start closer to home, with ourselves. Owning the value we have as women has a fundamental impact on our own lives and on those around us.
Over the course of 5 breakfast workshops we explore how to work through the personal and professional barriers that can get in our way, creating strategies that will make a tangible difference to our presence, our confidence and our ability to perform at our very best.
Communicate for Success
The focus of each Speakeasy session is on a different aspect of communication, exploring the way in which we reveal or hide ourselves. We begin by raising our consciousness of how we're conveying ourselves currently and then create opportunities for refinement to help us make the most of our impact and potential.
Why come along?
All of our work empowers people by focusing on self-responsibility. By working on what we have most control over – ourselves, our worlds – we create space for those around us, enabling each of us to become a role model – wherever we're at.
• Own and activate your value and impact
• Build personal confidence, trust and responsibility
• Learn pragmatic tools for personal and strategic change
• Work with a supportive and diverse network of peers
• Seize opportunities to put change into action

What others say they got from the programme:
Great coach and honestly one of the best workshops I've attended, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and would love to see the courses repeated...
I think personally, my attitude has improved, I am more positive and more inspired/motivated. This course covered some important aspects of growth in an organisation that is not commonly covered as part of any other training.
These workshops are a real asset to have available to employees they are simple, personal and brilliant!
How to believe in myself and feel more confident.
Enables you to take time out of the day to day and think about your personal development and approach
If you focus on something, it happens.
I found the discussion on anxiety being energy and the practice of moving that energy to different parts of your body really interesting.
How to shift your focus to turn it into a positive, and the importance of setting and focusing on goals to ensure success.
The creation of a mission statement / mantra was a great way to summarise up the key focus points I'd taken from the workshop, and I'm sure this will prove to be a very useful tool for me in terms of my personal development and keeping my focus on it throughout 2017.
I really enjoyed these workshops. They allow time for individual reflection with the opportunity to absorb tips and suggestions from the wider group. The key thing I learnt from yesterday - we are all important and to own your message. Take charge and have confidence in yourself
Self motivation/reliance/confidence is a skill which can be learned/improved/developed.
To always be myself, people will accept you for who you are.
Take time to focus on what I want to achieve in 2017 - ask for it and do it.
I gained some really useful confidence tips on how to set myself up for success as well as embedding certain ideas and values about my self-belief
