Chris Newlands, Editor, and Madison Marriage, Deputy Editor, FTfm
Chris Newlands is the editor of FTfm - the FT's asset management pages - and last year he became the FT's asset management editor.
Chris started life as a journalist via the Euromoney graduate training scheme after spending two years teaching English in Tokyo. He moved to the FT group in 2003 and worked on various magazines as a reporter and an editor before launching the online news website Ignites Europe in 2008. In 2012 he became editor of FTfm - the FT's asset management pages - and last year he also became the FT's asset management editor. Away from the FT he is author of the Virgin Money Maker, the personal finance guide published by Virgin Books, and has written for TimeOut, CNN and the Guardian. Chris is a graduate in Economics.
Madison Marriage is the deputy editor as well as the FT's asset management correspondent.
Madison started her career in journalism in 2010 after studying French and German at university. She initially covered hedge funds and wealth managers at Incisive Media, the publishing business, before moving to the FT's asset management news service, Ignites Europe, in 2012.
She joined FTfm in 2013 and became deputy editor in 2015, as well as the FT's asset management correspondent. She writes about the global investment industry, including the big issues facing pension funds, breaking news affecting asset management companies, and how the changing geopolitical landscape affects investment decisions.
